Abstract
Electronic waste (e-waste) is a growing environmental challenge in areas like Eastleigh, Nairobi, where current management relies on manual disposal rather than reuse or recycling. While organizations like the WEEE Centre are involved in e-waste initiatives, there's a necessity for software solutions to promote reuse and raise awareness of environmental and health risks. This project presents Aitana, a smart application that employs image recognition and machine learning to classify e-waste and provide users with creative ideas for reuse and recycling, aiming to improve e-waste management and support a circular economy while minimizing health and environmental dangers.
